    Far too much liquid imho.

    I knew that this was unlikely to be my favourite kimchi from KV before buying as I've bought it elsewhere previously & find it so-so - but it's about having a variety of tastes, & helped to get up to the free postage total.


    However, having bought it twice now from KV, the value for money feels on the low side, as significant amount of the pouch (& hence weight) was filled with liquid... ...whereas with a previous supplier (who only sold it pre-cut) then the balance was better.

    Taste is always subjective, and we respect your opinion—everyone has their own favourite style of kimchi! I’d also like to clarify that when you order 1kg of our Baek Kimchi, that refers to 1kg of cabbage alone; the liquid is not included in that weight. In fact, if you weigh the whole pouch, it will be around 1.3kg. The extra liquid is essential for Baek Kimchi, as the cabbage needs to be fully submerged to maintain its flavour and freshness. Plus, the liquid itself can be a great base for Korean dishes.

    excellent and made with soul

    The first batch which i picked up had a taste which will be etched in memory. crunchy crisp with just enough salt and not so spicy that you regret eating too much.

    My order placed after that experience arrived promptly, perfectly packed,

    fresh and abundant. The spring onion got better and better as the days passed. Having tasted this Kimchi, i will probably never buy any from anywhere else. Thank you Kimchi Village for this incredible home-made delicacy.
